“GOOD MORNING, SUNSHINE!”

Every morning when my little girl wakes up, I would say to her, “Good Morning, Sunshine!” Her immediate response to me whether it’s raining, a thunderstorm, fog or hail, she says, “Good Morning, Sunshine Mommy….It’s a beautiful sunny day!”

Just to see through her eyes is so inspiring, as no matter what the day or week may bring, I always remember than even when it’s raining cats and dogs… It’s always a beautiful sunny day!!!

As today, you are a exactly a month older, I celebrate you…”My Heartbeat!” I celebrate you!

So…three years ago today, I was blessed to have a beautiful little girl who I love so much….Instantly, it was..when I first laid eyes on her.

And today, my love, my life, my heartbeat…I love you forever and a day!

To Separate or Not To Separate

So today, I decided I was going to stay in and allow my hubby to take our daughter to church…(yes, without me!) I was mortified!

As I started to brush her hair, I realized that the tears came rolling down my eyes because I didn’t want to be separated from her even though I know that I needed a few moments by myself to just relax. I would take her to school, pick her up, bring her a snack at school, check in on her, called to see if she ate, took her to the hairdresser with me, grocery, you name it, she is always with me….My HeartBeat…as I call her.

But today, even though I knew that she needed to spend time with Daddy, I still wanted to jump at the chance to always be in her company.

I dried my tears and watched as she said “Goodbye, Mommy!” “I’ll see you later!”

….and then as they drove away…I couldn’t help but thinking, my little girl is growing up to be independent and a felt a smile coming through. I returned home from my “me” time, and didn’t leave her side for one bit. The little smile turned into lots of laugh as we pretended to enjoy our camping trip in the middle of the family room.
